PNCE UPON A TIME...L'Heptade
HARMONIUM L'Heptude (CBS,1976) - Progressive rock |
L’Heptade is considered one of the defining albums of Quebec rock; it is certainly the most famous homegrown progressive-rock opus ever released here.
The ambitious collection was driven by singer-songwriter Fiori’s burning desire to match the best progressive music being produced at the time in the U.K. and the U.S.
The songs are long, musically sophisticated and feature a wide array of musicians, including the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal — all built around Fiori’s falsetto vocals and his accomplished acoustic guitar playing.
