GUITAR WOLG...Tony Iommi

Слика
Heavy metal was born upon this man’s severed finger tips—it doesn’t get more metal than that. Following an accident while working in a sheet metal factory, Anthony Iommi questioned whether he would play guitar ever again. Encouraged to continue his music, Iommi learned to play with his guitar flipped and with his finger tips covered with plastic. What he soon learned following his return to music is that he would create the sound that would birth a genre. Black Sabbath’s evil sound emerged in 1968 out of Iommi’s Hand of Doom. Along with Geezer Butler, Iommi sustained Sabbath through 40-plus years of existence. Even through times of extreme substance abuse (albeit producing some of his best guitar work) and a revolving door of members in the 80’s, the original metal band survived. Iommi also spent time in Ronnie James Dio’s Heaven and Hell project and released a few solo albums when Sabbath split for a little while in the early 2000s. Ultimately, Iommi is the original metal guit

DON'T SHOOT ME...Roger Hodgson

Слика
Roger Hodgson collected credentials as one of the driving forces of the legendary rock group Super-tramp. Together with Rick Davies he founded the band in 1969 and went on to write at least half of their songs. Hodgson ’ s plaintive singing style, the bright melodies and the ironic yet introspective lyrics of his songs, and his staccato piano contributed a great deal to Super-tramp ’ s distinctive sound. After Supertramp ’ s success had peaked, Hodgson, looking for new personal and musical directions, left the band to pursue a solo career. After leaving Supertramp he recorded three solo albums.  Rites Of Passage Unichord,1997 https://www.sendspace.com/file/yql1yr

LITTLE DRUMMER BOY (S)...Butch Trucks & Jaimoe

Слика
Allman Brothers Band drummers Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson have been inseparable since the group's inception, powering everything from the intricate rhythms of the iconic "Whipping Post" to subtle workouts like their rendition of Muddy Waters' "Trouble No More." Jaimoe's pedigree as a Sixties soul drummer with the likes of Otis Redding meshes with Trucks' bluesy, rock-steady pulse to form a syncopated beat-logic all their own. As Jaimoe recounted to  Relix , he and Trucks tried to take drum lessons from Elvin Jones in 1974, only to have the jazz legend tell them, "What do you guys want? I know who you are. What am I supposed to teach you?" ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND The Allman Brothers Band Atco,1969 https://www.sendspace.com/file/uux3ua

BASS CULTURE...Pino Palladino

Слика
Pino began by putting fretless on the pop-music map with a Jaco-like presence, via soaring Music Man-issued sub-hooks on hits by Paul Young, Don Henley, and many others.        Moving to a flatwound-strung Fender Precision and a fingerstyle technique rife with thumb-plucks, he connected with D’Angelo and sat way back in the pocket, setting the standard for neo-soul and hip-hop bottom. With calls from the Who, John Mayer, Paul Simon, and Nine Inch Nails, he has since elevated rock and singer/songwriter bass, as well.
