GUITAR WOLF...Angus Young

Слика
Precious little about AC/DC is complicated - Angus Young's schoolboy blazer and tie pretty much wrap up their entire subtext strategy. But at several points in their 45 years they could lay claim to the title of the greatest working rock band in the world, and Angus is their still-burning core. His mastery of backbone riffs likens him to both metal and punk musicians, but his devotion to electric blues and '60s power players comes through in his unassuming,octane-generating solos. And he got better as AC/DC's star ascended. The brute of the '70s anthems such as 'Jailbreak' and 'TNT' might never have played the staggering opening notes of 'Thunderstruck',but in hindsight they're very much cut from the same cloth.       AC / DC       The Razor's Edge       Atco,1990     https://www.sendspace.com/file/lngi77

DON'T SHOOT ME...Patrick Moraz

Although early in his career the young Swiss-born keyboard player had worked with Stéphane Grappelli and toured with John Coltrane, it was as a member of the prog rock band Refugee, alongside former Nice members Lee Jackson and Brian Davison, that Moraz rose to prominence. He was plucked from Refugee to replace Rick Wakeman in Yes, with whom he recorded Relayer, but was out of the band prior to Wakeman’s return for  Going For The One . He then joined The Moody Blues with whom he played between 1978 and 1991 before maintaining an impressive solo career. Out In The Sun Charisma,1977 https://www.sendspace.com/file/jtmay1

BASS CULTURE...Holger Czukay

Слика
As one of the founding members of German krautrock group Can,Czukay's pop spin to the band's experimental formula would push the underground group toward a more approachable band.Holger Czukay successfully bridged the gap between pop and the avant-garde,pioneering the use of samples,a technique most notably utilized in Czukay's drone-collage side project Canaxis 5.Czukay would certainly pay a fundamental role in Can's proclivity for electronic and noise experimentation. However, the musician's finesse and precision on bass would allow listeners to easily submerse themselves into lengthy works of unconventional psychedelic rock influenced by 20th century classical music.    CAN     Future Days     UA,1973 https://www.sendspace.com/file/n8l02p

GUITAR WOLF...Joni Mitchell

Слика
When Mitchell suffered a bout of polio in her childhood, the weakness that remained in her left hand could have deterred her from pursuing a career playing guitar. On the contrary,it inspired her to conjure innovative and unconventional methods of playing, turning what others may have perceived as a handicap into a uniquely original advantage. She improvised over 50 alternate tunings for her guitars, resulting in what we now think of as the familiar-but-strange Joni Mitchell sound. From the chromatic melodies pf her '60s harmonic work to the jazz fusion of albums such as 'Hejira',Joni found ways of surprising us and satisfying us in equal measures throughout her guitar-playing career.
