ONCE UPON A TIME...Mirror
GRAHAM CENTRAL STATION Mirror (WB,1976) - Funk, Soul |
The fourth album of Graham Central Station, Mirror, was released in 1976 and once again underlined the relevance of these seminal Funkateers. With the addition of Gospel chants, this album took a more religious approach to the music genre.
The song "Love" made it to single status, peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard R&B charts. Opening the album with marching drums and high school football cheers, "Entrow" lays down a solid groove and has each band member take turns on funky solos. The song's chorus says: "Let me entertain you" — well, this album definitely delivers on that promise.
